Optimising My LinkedIn Profile for HR Consultancy

As part of the Digital Communications and Customer Engagement module, I took the time to optimise my LinkedIn profile to better reflect my personal brand and professional goals in Human Resources. My goal was to reach All-Star status, the highest level of profile strength by fully completing and enhancing every section.
Steps Taken to Achieve All-Star Status:
Added a professional profile photo and banner image reflecting my interest in HR and business.
Created a strong headline: “Aspiring HR Consultant | Business & HR Student at Griffith College Dublin”.
Wrote a detailed About section highlighting my background, HR goals, and key soft skills.
Updated my education with relevant course info, including the DCCE module.
Listed work experience and described transferable skills.
Joined LinkedIn groups and requested recommendations from peers or colleagues.
My Social Selling Index (SSI) Score:
To measure how well I’m building a professional presence, I used LinkedIn’s Social Selling Index (SSI) tool.
It scores four key areas:
Establishing a professional brand
Finding the right people
Engaging with insights
Building relationships
