Analytics Blog: Laying the Foundations for Data-Driven Growth

As I launched my professional website to support my independent HR consultancy services, I recognised the importance of integrating digital analytics from the very beginning. Even though my website is still in its early stages and visitor data is limited, setting up tools like Google Analytics and LinkedIn Insights has given me a clear starting point to build upon. Here's an overview of how I’ve set up these platforms.

 

Google Analytics: First Glimpses into Visitor Behaviour


Google Analytics was one of the first tools I integrated into the site to track user activity, traffic sources, and engagement. While data is understandably light right now, some useful insights are already emerging.

Initial Visits: Traffic has primarily come from direct sources, links shared via LinkedIn and email.

Popular Pages: The About Me and Landing Page are currently the most viewed.

Device Type: Early visits are mostly from mobile users, confirming the importance of a responsive site.


These early findings will guide future content strategy and help optimise navigation for new visitors.
